The St. Pete Wine & Food Festival in September was a first for the bay area and was described as the "ultimate wine and food experience." The four day event included a wine pairings dinner, a craft beer evening, and two days of grand tastings. The grand tastings included small plates from the top bay area chefs and wines from all over the world. Hundreds of them.
Prior to the festival, the founders wanted to thank all those involved. We gathered at the Museum of Fine Arts for a launch party catered by Olympia. Attendees included sponsors, chefs, and beer and wine purveyors. Three Daughters provided the delicious craft beer and Masciarelli provided the fine wines.
Our task was to create a menu worthy to kick off the big event. We wanted to highlight some of the area's Latin-Sicilian-Southern roots and feature fresh Gulf seafood. Read below for the full menu and pictures from the event.
